There are situations in our lives that we know for sure it would be time to change or end. We know it would make life easier, less stressful. We know that this particular step would create space to feel happier and more at peace again. What is it that keeps us from taking that step?
Let’s assume it has nothing to do with leaving the comfort zone (which can be a reason in many cases). It could be feelings of obligation or guilt. Maybe we don’t want to disappoint someone or see the difficulty they would have if we made this change. Maybe, we don’t want to appear ungrateful because there are also many benefits to this situation that we very much appreciate. Perhaps, it is a sense of dependency that binds us.
Whatever it is, sometimes, even though we feel under pressure, we shake our heads, push our doubts under the rug, tell ourselves not to be a baby, and hang in there…
Maybe the pressure just isn’t big enough yet to take responsibility.

You say it. Our save haven and the insecurity of the unknown. Still, sometimes the unknown feels better than the save haven but it is a step to take. Thank you, Michael!

And I so thankful for such timings. It is the universe saying: “No one is left alone. There is always a way, a solution, a new day.” I love this universe!

Change can be difficult and it’s not the actual change but the decision to make the change. We tend to look at the aftermath of our change before we make it. There are a lot of factors that can go into our hesitancy to make a change but in the end it is up to us to do it and you know what? You can do it. Thanks for the inspired post and have a wonderful week, Erika!

Sometimes we need to make that step and follow our immediate gut feeling when our mind cannot find a solution by balancing the pros and cons. Yes, I agree. We can do it. In my case, I already made big steps into a very new field without knowing how it may turn out. It challenged me but also gave me a lot of experience. You are welcome!

Yes, the mind turns on that default defense mechanism, giving reasons why not to take that step. I’m happy that you got into a new field and are gaining new experiences. Challenges are really just opportunities for growth.

Exactly, and that is how we need to look a it, most of all when the challenge appears as the toughest.

Yes indeed, you have no idea what it took to change from caramel chocolate to rum and raisin, there was so many on the shelf it left me in agony to choose. I was so scared to go off the rails beyond that comfort zone.
And I do need to take responsibility, I think I’ll take the courage to make the decision to buy the chocolate factory so I no longer have to worry and let that stress go 🤣
I’m sorry, I’m being frivolous. And I should be responsible. And I do really have control, I really don’t need the factory, I can just purchase the chocolate on a payment plan 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 😂 🤣
