#HitsByYears – 1982

You know Amadeus of Falco. He recorded a version for the US in 1985 and reached number one on the charts with that version (as the first Austrian musician). But Falco’s first big hit was in 1982, and the last time I was in the States (which is quite a while ago), I heard an English version of that song. I thought, why not sharing the original today. The lyrics are German but also in Viennese dialect.

Der Kommissar – Falco

The next song was number one in Austria for more than three months. I bet that all of you remember it. When I added the video below, I noticed that F.R. David and Falco even look a little similar… at least with the sunglasses…

Words – F.R. David

Feel free to add or mention in the comments your favorite song of 1982 and the memory that connects you with it.

80s, Hits by years

I think at least Austria got a lot more known and interesting in the younger generations of that time than through historic facts… lol Thank you, Michael. You too!

It has been such an amazing song, it keeps bobbing up and hitting high in the charts for so many years. You very rarely hear it now but it just had some amazing beat to it that everyone responded to 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
