#SongTuesday

The first time I heard this song was in the movie “Rain Man” (1988, Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman). It was the reason I bought the record and more or less only listened to that song. Only later did I find out that there have been a lot more versions. Recently, I heard a new one on the radio. When I hear this song, I cannot sit still. It lifts my mood and makes my heart shine. What about you?

Erika, this is just a fun song no matter who sings it. By the way, I was following you again, then it unfollowed me as I scrolled through. I just refollowed, so let’s see what happens. Keith

I haven’t heard of this version before but I quite enjoyed it until the rap artist steps in and then I don’t understand a word. It does leave me toe tapping though. My favourite version is by The Dixie Cups but I’ve no idea whose version you heard in Rain Man.

It is a new version of this song. And I agree, that rap is a bit special. When you say, you don’t understand a thing, then I am relieved… lol This here is the first version I heard in Rain Man:

I just listened to two of their performances. It has this carribean atmosphere around it which I love too! It has a lot of charme. Simply an original!
