Love Doesn’t Ask Why

Unexpected
Unasked
But when it catches you
You cannot escape

Underestimated
Just for a moment
When I forgot to shelter
When I thought my life was settled
That one moment
Cupid’s arrow hit

Unexpected
Unasked
Unpredicted
But so welcomed
Not questioning
Just standing in awe

The universe of a precious being
Opens up in my little heart
A small picture becoming big
A big picture becoming clearer
Unasked
Unexpected

The beauty is beyond words. A moment I ‘touched up there’ I will never forget…the feeling of total acceptance, a being at one with everything, held in heart and mind freely. So much so that not a word was spoken, they didn’t need to be because you already ‘knew’ and were a part of all that is.

Erika, I love the punctuation of your thoughts with the recurring “unasked, unexpected.” That is truly when it hits. The sensation that makes you tongue tied when you see her (or him) for the first time. Keith
