Goodbye to a Very Different Year – Hello to a New Dawn

Saying goodbye to a year of big challenges, of overcoming old and new obstacles, of discovering the ability to adjust.
Farewell to a year of quite a lot of goodbyes regarding neighbors, relatives, and friends’ relatives.

But at the same time, saying goodbye to a year of opportunities, of newly discovered creativity, of newfound freedom beneath restrictions, of a deeper feeling of contentment and gratitude.
Farewell to a year of new beginnings, of new projects and their realization, and of recognizing by how much love this world is held together.

We say goodbye to a very different year. Let’s welcome the new one with open arms and the firm intention to make it the best year ever for ourselves individually and for everyone!

Thank you, Erika, for telling us about the opportunities, of newly discovered creativity, of newfound freedom beneath restrictions, new beginnings, of new projects and their realisation, and of recognising of how much love this world has. Too many people look at 2020 and see a glass half empty. I agree it’s been a year like no other most of us have lived, but it’s also been a year where human kindness has come to the forefront.

Yes, Hugh! Human kindness has made such a leap during the past year. I like how you see the chance in the crisis, the blessing beneath the obstacle. When there is a shadow there must be light too somewhere!

The year was not like an other experienced and we can take away some good from it. Let’s take on the new year with a reinvigorated sense of hope and inspiration. You have a wonderful New Year’s Eve and day, dear friend.

And you Erika. Everything would suggest that it will be a very demanding year, given the projections for sufficient vaccinations to make an impact, together with the (now) 2 variants which are being investigated. We just need to understand that there is a “light at the end of the tunnel”, but we must be patient; look to the future, and help anybody we can along the way. Take care. Stay safe. Keep smiling! 🙂

I see it the same way. We have to be reasonable and patient but at the same time it means that we are heading quickly towards that light. I am not afraid or worried. I am very positive that we can reach this soon. But yes, we need to understand that helping each other and being thoughtful is inevitable to get there.
I will, Colin, and I will definitely keep smiling… no virus can take that away 😊
