That’s beautifully said. I often see grief in swimming terms. Suddenly your dumped in the middle of the sea and you start to drown. But in your own time you start to swim. As hard as you swim you never seem to be able to get the nearest island. But you just have to keep swimming and eventually you learn to enjoy the open eaters again.

That’s a good anology. Yes, grief has someting from deep wathers. You describe the perception of the stages very well, Gary.

Erika, well said. Reminds me of the Winston Churchill line – when you are walking through hell, keep walking. Keith

Erika, thanks. Different metaphor that you brought to mind. Did you see the biopic film “Ray” about the life of the blind R&B singer Ray Charles starring Jamie Foxx as the adult Ray? The most powerful scene is when the blind little boy falls down in his house and his mother stands off to the side to watch him figure out what to do. She resists the urge to help, which reveals how deep her love is and her desire to see him handle life on his own. Keith

No, I have not seen the movie yet. It must have been so hard for the mother. On one hand she knew that she does the right thing but seeing her son struggling is tough. Yes, definitely a sing of so much love. That is a beautiful example, Keith!

Keep your head up and keep moving, you won’t be in the deep for too long. Cool quote, Erika!

That’s so right. Everything is temporary. We only need to find ways to make it over the gaps. Thank you, Sylvester😊

We shouldn’t allow a temporary state to be a permanent shackle. You’re very welcome 😊

Smiled at this one…. I have trod water until I was exhausted.. There is only one way and that is UPwards… And we are about to rise even higher… ❤ 💜💙💜🧡

Sometimes we need to sink deep in order to only have that one direction upwards left 😊
