#HitsByYears – 1979

The past 2 months were really tough and I am glad to be off this week. I spent the past weekend in a spa and when you are reading this I am probably on my way back home. Since I could not schedule my regular posts for this week, I wanted to enjoy some more hits of past times with you.

When I checked out the year 1979, I was surprised how many big hits it brought to life. It was not easy to only pick 5 of them (perhaps I am cheating at times, and add more songs). So let’s begin with one of my favorite hits of the 1970s to give this new week a little boost.

Born To Be Alive – Patick Hernandez

Feel free to add or mention in the comments your favorite song of 1979 and the memory that connects you with it.

I have some history with this song. I was 23 when this song was released and toying with the idea of moving to Hawaii. Then I heard Born To Be Alive by Patick Hernandez and it became my mantra. I moved to Hawaii and lived there for about four years. Thanks for bringing back this memory, Erika.

Wow, this is such a cool and heart-warming memory regarding this song. I can only imagine what a special time that must have been. And how amazing that you lived in Hawaii! Thank you for sharing that memory, Robert!

I have been doing good, just occupied with lots of events and with my jobs and projects. But slowing down by the end of the month when my education is on a break for a while… 🥵
