The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.
Erika, well said. I was reminded of The Bee Gees’ song, “How can you mend a broken heart….” I also thought of that broken heart experience we each have had, likely more than once, and the salve you note is the only way. But, it does take time.
I read once that the most attractive thing to a man about a woman (or vice-versa or with the same gender), is her being interested in him. So, if someone is interested in that man or woman with a broken heart, go slowly, but reveal that interest. Keith
Yes, indeed, a broken heart is very fragile. One person can cause a deep cut but the “right” person, that comes after, may have the most healing effect and rebuilds the belief in love and trust. As you said, it needs a patient and persistent heart but true love has no problems to be both. Thank you very much, Keith!
I know you got this, Amy! Basically pure love is no supposed to hurt and always holds the healing component inside. True and unconditional love sees further and the bigger picutere. But I just said to Sylvester that it can hurt to see a loved one suffering but at the same time you can be that healing balm for them.
I think we exeperience a lot of cuts before we find the truth of love and its healing embrace. Thank you, dear Amy π
What came to mind as I read this quote was recently I honestly told my sister how she hurt me due to what she did not do. Immediately she was contrite and told me the why she did not do which I understood perfectly. By the time we finished, the “pain” I inflicted with my honesty was made all better by the honey of our love we share. You really got me thinking today and I thank you. xo
Oh, my, is that a wonderful example, Amy! That was very poignant and shows the two sides so well. Thank you for sharing this episode of your life, dear π
Almost like chocolate, so soothing and beautiful…but too much and you pay the consequences π π€£
Mmm, spirit just tapped me on the shoulder. Like all things in nature there is enough and there’s too much…we just need to adjust our quality control in life π β€οΈ ππΌ π¦

Love can definitely have a dual affect sometimes. The hurting and the healing but overall Love is grand. Wonderful quote, Erika.

When you care so much about someone who goes through difficult times then it can hurt you but at the same time you can be the healing balm for them.

I understand you completely. Being that healing balm can make all the difference and give added power to hang in.

Right, and being that healing balm activates the most wonderful loving power inside oneself.
