There are songs we may have heard very often. The song I am sharing today was definitely played up and down the radio stations for weeks, even months, after it was released. It is a master piece of a ballad and the ultimate love song. Lately, I came across it again and since I haven’t heard it for a long time it touched me deeply again.
My Heart Will Go On – Céline Dion
Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on
Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you’re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go ’til we’re gone
Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we’ll always go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you’re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
You’re here, there’s nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We’ll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Good choice, Erika! We really should read the lyrics of most songs. There is much more as only the melody. Actually i am listing to a Czech radio station.Cant believe how many songs had been translated into Czech language. Maybe it could give some motivation to me learning this very interesting language. Yes, it is the whole package that gives those goosebumps.
That is interesing. I never thought of listening to songs in other languages. Perhaps one day, you will reply and comment in Czech language.

😉 Do you really think i will be able to learn this language? Lets hope so! Oh since a long time i love songs in other languages. Sometimes in translated version they are really funny too. :-))

Sure, why not?
Yes, must be really funny to listen to the same song in a different language. It was interesting to hear the Beatles sing some of their songs in German for example.

Yes, as example, but in Czech language some italian songs are sounding pretty cool. Lol

Which one would you recommend for example?

Maybe “Biene Maja”, or some of the 1980th songs. Perhaps you will be able listen via internet to one of these famous Czech radio stations too.

Biene Maja? Why now? It was originally sung by a Czeck singer… lol! I will check it out. You made me curious!

Yes, please! That would be awesome. Thank you, Michael! Just don’t put more than two links into a comment or your comment goes to spam… lol!

Yes, it is the settings I put that way. Otherwise, I have all those stupid spams in my comments where poeple only leave links.

By the way, another lesson from the Hillbillies:
Just was shopping and bought carrots. Here they dont celebrate Halloween, but offered me “Halloween Carrots” with doubled price.

Céline Dion and this song are one. I am sure there are cover versions, but I cannot imagine that any comes close to the original.

One of Celine’s most beautiful ballads. It really enlivens all of the senses. Thanks for sharing!

It is not only a song, it is a composition. And she doesn’t sing it, she is that song while she sings it. Awesome!
