Friday Song

I cannot help it and have to share another Italian song. The year 1990. Not all of you but still quite a lot may remember it. It was a soccer world championship year. Germany won and this was the song which was written for it. Happy Friday and keep the ball rolling!

Un’Estate Italiana – Gianna Nannini & Edoardo Bennato

Sorry for the quality!

it probably won’t be a song
to change the rules of the game
but I want to live this adventure like this
having no limits and with my heart in my throat
The world is full of colours
and the wind caresses the flags
a shiver comes and it carries you away
and it cools down the madness in an embrace
magic nights
following a goal
under the sky
of an Italian summer
And in your eyes
the desire to win
a summer
one more adventure
That dreams that starts when you’re [just] a kid
and that takes you always further
it’s not a fairytale
it comes from the locker rooms
the guys come out and it’s us
magic nights
following a goal
under the sky
of an Italian summer
And in your eyes
the desire to win
a summer
one more adventure
