For this series, I decided to go with a song each day from Monday to Friday. Have a great day!
Cracklin Rosie – Neil Diamond
Feel free to add or mention in the comments your favorite song of 1970 and the memory that connects you with it.
In Love and Light
As vintage as new to me, but sounds great. Put it on my tablet too. 😉 Thank you Erika! Michael

Simply Neil Diamond… His songs are timeless, aren’t they? I am glad you liked this one, Michael!

Oh yes, love the others you mentioned too. Thank you for bringing me “up to date” with music. Seems there is a big hole where i had been over more than a decade. Lol

What? They did? Where exactly do you live 😱

They tried to do. Where i live? Lol In a village where – sorry – most people between the age of 50 and 80 were abused by a priest (Look in the Wikipedia for Kirchenmusikdirektor Georg Friedrich Zimmermann (+ 1984)), and the Roman-Catholic Church has power like in 15th century. 😉 They tried to cover up the things done by KMD Zimmermann, because till today they get a lot of hush money.

A little question on the side… have you ever thought about moving??? This sounds like the introduction of a horror movie 🙈

Many times Erika! But i lost a lot of money here. I’m on my way, Erika. There have only been three years of delays so far to get the money back that I had invested. :

My God, that makes the decision even easier to leave but since you have to get your money back first, it is even more frustrating until you are ready to realize that decision.

So true Erika! But this is the problem here. They (over 80 percent are relatives to each other) want your money or the other assets, then they let you leave. If you want to get back what – in my case my own father – has brought to them – Lets work the money! – you have to fight.

That sounds rather like medival times than the 21 century. And this is Germany? Wow, I am very sorry about this and hope that you get what is yours asap in order to finally cut the chord and move on!

At the bottom of the Wiki-article you can find a lot of other information. If you are interested read the article from Robert Werner “Über 50 Jahre Vertuschungsgeschichte”: https://www.regensburg-digital.de/uber-50-jahre-vertuschungsgeschichte/11052013/

I will read this for sure, Michael. Thank you for sharing!
I just read it… this is so shocking. It is most of all shocking how people back then still bowed although they knew what he did. How can you really name a street after such a person after it is publicly known what he did? Really like from a horror movie!

So true, Erika! They got and get hush money. A lot of them. And in my opinion, but i am in research – blackmailed the Vatican in view of April 2005.

Gosh, that gets worse and worse. But yes, the catholic church has not had the “whitest” history.

Yes, and with BXVI. – the one and only german-bavarian Pope since 500 years – this history got a new quality. 🙂

We just watched a Neil Diamond special the other week. Did you know that he idolized Elvis Presley and he opened up for Elvis once. Then while Elvis was on stage he mentioned about doing a duet with Neil and the crowd was chanting for Neil to come out, but he refused. They said he was actually very shy and he just didn’t feel comfortable singing with “The King!”

So, that is really timely. Thank you for sharing those facts. I had no idea. I hope he never regretted but it confirms his humble personality.
