white-rose-flower-hands-young-girl_3249-4082.jpgForever Valentine

This rose, it smells, just like the one

Which you once gave to me

I close my eyes, inhale its scent

Get lost in memories

On your shoulder rested my head

Your arm around my spine

We watched the sunset at the beach

On that day of Valentine

Time seemed to be unlimited

The world belonged to us

Felt free like teenagers again

The love we shared like turtle doves

I cannot help it, have to smile

When thinking back of you

Today I keep my heart joy filled

While mostly it is blue

Memories of deep gratitude

Once in a lifetime love

I lay the white rose down and know

You look at me from up above

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

Erika, aromas linger in our memories longer. I once read that Alzheimer’s patients can remember smells longer than other things. I think it reminds them you are on their team.

This is rose is the same way. It has beauty and scent to remind of a love gone from this world. Keith

Yes, that is what I learned when becoming an aromatherapist, too. And we know it! Sometimes we smell something and before we know what it is we have a reflexive feeling to it and then the memries show up.
Wonderful thoughts about roses you left here, Keith. Thank you!!
