Good morning and happy Monday, everybody! It is cold over here and winter is driving us absolutely nuts over here. The Alps haven’t seen that much snow for about 20 years. It looks wonderful but is a threat for people and animals. Many villages are cut off and the danger of avalanches increases dramatically. But what can we do, right? I hope that the song I picked will heat up the atmosphere in a good and healthy way.
I Got A Feeling – Black Eyed Peas
I gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good, good night
Tonight’s the night
Let’s live it up
I got my money
Let’s spend it up
Go out and smash it
Like oh my God
Jump off that sofa
Let’s get get off
I know that we’ll have a ball
If we get down
And go out
And just lose it all
I feel stressed out
I wanna let it go
Let’s go way out spaced out
And losing all control
Fill up my cup
Mazel Tov
Look at her dancing
Just take it off
Let’s paint the town
We’ll shut it down
Let’s burn the roof
And then we’ll do it again
Let’s do it, let’s do it,
Let’s do it,
Let’s do it, and do it, and do it,
Let’s live it up
And do it, and do it, and do it, do it, do it,
Let’s do it,
Let’s do it,
Let’s do it
‘Cause…
[2x]
I gotta feeling (ooooo hoooo) that tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good, good night
Tonight’s the night (hey!)
Let’s live it up (let’s live it up)
I got my money (I’m paid)
Let’s spend it up (let’s spend it up)
Go out and smash it (smash it)
Like oh my God (like oh my God)
Jump off that sofa (c’mon)
Let’s get get off
Fill up my cup (drink)
Mazel Tov (l’chaim)
Look at her dancing (move it, move it)
Just take it off
Let’s paint the town (paint the town)
We’ll shut it down (shut it down)
Let’s burn the roof
And then we’ll do it again
Let’s do it, let’s do it,
Let’s do it,
Let’s do it, and do it, and do it,
Let’s live it up
And do it, and do it, and do it, do it, do it,
Let’s do it,
Let’s do it,
Let’s do it, do it, do it, do it
Here we come
Here we go
We gotta rock (rock, rock, rock, rock)
Easy come
Easy go
Now we on top (top, top, top, top)
Feel the shot
Body rock
Rock it don’t stop (stop, stop, stop, stop)
Round and round
Up and down
Around the clock (clock, clock, clock, clock)
Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday
Friday, Saturday
Saturday to Sunday
Get get get get get with us
You know what we say
Party every day
Pa pa pa party every day
And I’m feeling (ooooo hoooo)
That tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good good night
I gotta feeling (oooooo hoooo) that tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good good night
Ooooooo hooooo

In Love and Light
All one can do in winter is stay warm, be careful and look out for your Elderly and disabled neighbors who might be stuck and can’t get out. Make sure that Senior citizens have enough food, that their homes are warm, and check if they need groceries or someone to pick up their medications. Also shovel the Snow from around their house.

You know, we are living in a country where this is taken very good care of. No worries about that. Over here people take care of each other in general. π

That’s good. Excellent. When I was growing up Community was valued and neighbors helped each. So many People here are found Dead in their homes or apartments. Now yes some People are hermits or in the case of the homeless mentally ill. However New York City has services and programs for those in need.
In my case once I retired last Year as a Single without family I knew that I had to make the effort to reach out. So September last Year I joined a local Church. I tend to be a Solitary and keep to myself but that’s not really healthy. If I don’t make Sunday service I try to stop by on Wednesdays where I’m provided with a nutritional meal and my Church gives away clothing for Free. I also donate clothing and my housemate will also give me clothes that he can’t wear. The food comes from St. John’s Bread and Life. Given that where I Live is a low income working class Neighborhood many churches form coalitions to provide for and give back to the community. I’m grateful for Wayside Baptist Church to which I belong and the Catholic church for helping People. I’m also for the many food pantries and soup kitchens that open their doors following the teachings of Jesus.

I am sure in the city (also in Europe) you are more anonymous. But over here everybody knows everybody (which can also be a curse… lol) and the social system is great!
