Share Your Light

My dear blog sister, Ritu, had a series going until Christmas. She gave us very useful and inspiring tips about blogging. The first advice she left was to choose a name for your blog which already gives an idea what your blog is about.

When I started my blog, the basics were set up by my publisher for me to promote my book. They gave it the name Author Erika Kind. Over time I found my own way of blogging and I did not want to put the “author” in the focus but instead what I wanted to share and achieve through my blog. So I changed the name to Erika Kind.Β But of course, what does it really say? I took Ritu’s advice to heart and thought about a name that makes sense. It did not take me long to find one.

So from now on the name of my blog will be
Share Your Light.

This is why I chose it: The name holds the fact that we all are light and that we can only share that light when we (re)discovered it inside of us before. And when sharing your light, you inspire others to do the same. So, that name says everything I try to achieve with this blog. I hope you like it.

In Love and Light

I love the new name of your blog Sis and it suits you perfectly. Our dear sis talks a lot of sense and I might need to have a think about a new name for mine whilst I am still sorting it all out since coming back to WordPress. πŸ™‚

Yes, she does, indeed. Only when I read about that blog name in her post I started pondering. A name doesn’t say anything unless you have a name that already says something… lol!!!
Thank you very much, sis. I really happy you think, too that the name is fitting. You only name a baby once, right? That’s why you should give yourself some time and the name will just pop up like mine did. 😊

Well I have to say that I am a very spontaneous person Sis and after I read your post I did think about it and came up with ‘Rhyme and No Reason which I thought worked well for my blog and I have already decided to name it that. πŸ™‚

That is very nice of you to say. I am lucky regarding the English meaning of my last name. I am glad you like the name my blog will have from now on. It shall be a name that speaks to everybody πŸ˜ŠπŸ’–

Thank you so much, Dorinda! It shall be a place to recharge the batteries and get an idea how to charge them on the own. The light is there always and sometimes it is only a forgotten door we have to open in order to connect with it consciously again.
I am really happy you like that name too. Have a wonderful day, Dorinda!
