Friday Song

Happy Friday, everybody! Let’s enter the weekend with some Ed Sheeran. A song I like a lot and the video is very cool too! Enjoy!

Happier – Ed Sheeran

Walking down 29th and park
I saw you in another’s arms
Only a month we’ve been apart
You look happier

Saw you walk inside a bar
He said something to make you laugh
I saw that both your smiles were twice as wide as ours
Yeah you look happier, you do

Ain’t nobody hurt you like I hurt you
But ain’t nobody love you like I do
Promise that I will not take it personal baby
If you’re moving on with someone new

Cause baby you look happier, you do
My friends told me one day I’ll feel it too
And until then I’ll smile to hide the truth
But I know I was happier with you

Sat in the corner of the room
Everything’s reminding me of you
Nursing an empty bottle and telling myself you’re happier
Aren’t you?

Ain’t nobody hurt you like I hurt you
But ain’t nobody need you like I do
I know that there’s others that deserve you
But my darling I am still in love with you

But I guess you look happier, you do
My friends told me one day I’ll feel it too
I could try to smile to hide the truth
But I know I was happier with you

Baby you look happier, you do
I knew one day you’d fall for someone new
But if he breaks your heart like lovers do
Just know that I’ll be waiting here for you

Girl I know what you mean. I was suddenly laid off from my 17 year career. Our company was bought by a big hedge fund company that laid off all senior mgmt I was one of 130 that were affected. My life changed in that instant because my job has always kept me so busy. I’m realizing I didn’t have much of a life outside work so I’m working in taking a 2 month break and maybe I’ll change industries. I’m trusting God to bring the right opportunities. You are right a lot of things we thought were for sure are really all temporary. 🦋🙏🏼💜

I am sorry to hear that but at the same time I am happy for you that you get this time-out to simply enjoy your days. But I cross my fingers that the perfect job is coming your way soon. Sometimes we are forced into a situation we did not want. But later it turns out that it was necessary in order to get where we are meant to. Sending you the biggest hugs, Michelle 💖

I understand it well, Michelle. Perhaps it was necessary in order to make you see and enjoy what you couldn’t do because of it. Simply enjoy and enjoy yourself. You deserve it so well🤗😘
