The Christmas Tag

29279-blogmas1.jpg

My extremely thoughtful and lovely blog sister Ritu of ButISmileAnyway tagged me. Christmas is my favorite holiday with all the love that is in the air and fills our hearts even more than at any other time of the year. So I am very happy to participate. Thank you, my dearest sister for nominating me.

5. What’s your favourite Christmas dish?
6. What’s your favourite Christmas decoration?
7. What’s your favourite Christmas song?
8. Where do you usually celebrate Christmas?
9. What does the ‘Christmas Spirit’ mean to you?
10. Who out of anybody in the world would you want to spend your Christmas with?

  1.  What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?
It is definitely that we are so much more open to give and receive love. The feelings are stronger and it feels to me as if each act of love weighs so much more through these days. I believe it is because so many people are sharing this feeling and that’s why it becomes so much more powerful! That’s why so many “miracles” happen. Christmas proves that we have the power to change the world for the better!
  2. What’s your favourite Christmas memory?
When I was a child my grandparents came over to celebrate Christmas with us. They lived 600 km away in Vienna and it was very special to celebrate together with them.
  3. Are there special traditions your family has for Christmas?
Over here we are celebrating the 4 Sundays before Christmas (Advent). Each Sunday we are lightning one candle more. We are playing games, listening to Christmas songs, and eating Christmas cookies.
  4. What’s your Christmas wish? (Can be personal or general)
That every day could be Christmas. Not because of the presents but because of the open hearts, the forgiveness, the compassion… simply because of the love that is more present in those days.
  5. What’s your favourite Christmas dish?
There is no particular dish. When the kids are happy I am happy too… lol. But recently we are having Raclette. A Swiss dish very everybody can help themselves and not much cooking is required in advance. There is a particular cheese that is melted on a bread potatoes or vegetables and lots of other things that can be roasted on the raclette grill. Also, there are salads. raclette-b.jpg
  6. What’s your favourite Christmas decoration?
Lights and candles, the tree, of course, and those lovely ornaments the kids made over the years.
  7. What’s your favourite Christmas song?

8. Where do you usually celebrate Christmas?
Together with my family spread over the days.

9. What does the ‘Christmas Spirit’ mean to you?
To me, it is the obvious confirmation that we all are one, that we all feel the same and wish for the same, and that we are able to make this world heaven on earth for everyone if we only stuck together!

10. Who out of anybody in the world would you want to spend your Christmas with?
With the ones I love and those who feel lonely. No one should feel lonely at Christmas since (as I said) to me, it is the time when we are reminded that we are One!

It is already very close to Christmas and so I don’t nominate particular persons but would appreciate it so much if those who would love to and still can afford the time participated.

Happy Christmas!

In Love and Light

A fun post to read about you and I too wish it could be Christmas every day for the very same reasons! We need to keep the Christmas spirit alive all year round. Thank you for your part in doing that!
Have a wonderful Christmas and with thanks to you and Colin, I have been able to listen to one of my most favorite Christmas songs 2x today. What a way to start the day! 🙂
