Today we went to the neighbor city Sirmione.

The historic part of Sirmione is a headland. It is entered through an archway as part of the castle.

There is a breathtaking view from up there:

Here some panorama pictures from the top of the tower:

The Italians have a big heart. Since there are a lot of homeless cats they even care for them.

Sirmione is a typical romantic Italian old town. Here some mixed impressions:

I hope so, Holly! Yes, I am! It is only a 4-hour ride to that place. But the Italian border is only about 2 1/2 to 3 hours away. And there are already beautiful places right there too! Yes, I am really lucky!!

I lived in Germany for two years, visited many places, I was back again on a Viking Tour last Dec touring the Rhine from Bern S. to France, still no Italy. I don’t know when I will get back, I would love to visit Florence … Rome…all those places, thanks for taking me along in spirit!

You saw a lot!! You know what? I have never been to Rome or Florence either. But my sister and I are planning on going there next year. Florence is on my bucket list for a long time already. I hope you can come over soon again and discover Italy too!
