Song of the Day

song-of-the-day

Happy Friday to everyone! I felt like sharing a “good mood” song from a great artist today – again from the 80’s! Enjoy and have a fantastic day!

Sussudio – Phil CollinsΒ

There’s this girl that’s been on my mind
All the time, Sussudio oh oh
Now she don’t even know my name
But I think she likes me just the same
Sussudio oh oh

Oh if she called me I’d be there
I’d come running anywhere
She’s all I need, all my life
I feel so good if I just say the word
Sussudio, just say the word
Oh Sussudio

Now I know that I’m too young
My love has just begun
Sussudio oh oh
Ooh give me a chance, give me a sign
I’ll show her anytime
Sussudio oh oh

Ah, I’ve just got to have her, have her now
I’ve got to get closer but I don’t know how
She makes me nervous and makes me scared
But I feel so good if I just say the word
Sussudio just say the word
Oh Sussudio, oh

Ah, she’s all I need all of my life
I feel so good if I just say the word
Sussudio I just say the word
Oh Sussudio I just say the word
Oh Sussudio I’ll say the word
Sussudio oh oh oh
Just say the word

I googled it and this is what I found:
“The main lyric came about as Collins was improvising lyrics to a drum machine track he had programmed: “suss-sussudio” was a wording that scanned well. After trying to find an alternative word to fit the rhythm, the singer decided to keep “Sussudio” as the song title and lyric. Collins has said that he “improvised” the lyric.[3] Collins was just playing around with a drum machine, and the lyric “sus-sussudio” was what came out of his mouth.[3] “So I kinda knew I had to find something else for that word, then I went back and tried to find another word that scanned as well as ‘sussudio,’ and I couldn’t find one, so I went back to ‘sussudio'”, Collins said.[3] According to Collins, the lyrics are about a schoolboy crush on a girl at school.[3]”

Right now I am using my phone. But usually I am on my laptop. You can get to a page called getemoji.com from there you can copy all classic emojis. On my phone I have this little smiley symbol on my keyboard. Touching it, it shows all those emojis too ☺😘😎

Thank you for telling me. I only have the usual ones, as you can create but the signs in here and sometimes I would like to be able to use others too.
I mostly use WhatsApp at my mobile and there I have the needed emojis. I will find these, as you wrote about here. Thank you πŸ˜€

If you comment over your phone you have the same emojis like on WhatsApp on your keyboard. When I comment from my laptop I always have the emoji window open. I hope it works for you, Irene 😊
