#MusicalMarch – Day 19

My sis, Ritu over at ButISmileAnyway has a music challenge going for March. If you would like to participate read more about it here.

I mentioned that I have been trained as a classical singer. I sang arias in concerts, Christmas and Easter concerts in church, opera productions, and much more. Singing classical music means singing with all you are. I love singing rock/pop but the singing experience in classical music is incomparable!

Today I want to share a song with which I won my second contest in 2001 (unfortunately I don’t have a record of it), one song of my favorite classical singer, and my favorite chorus which I was blessed to sing too as part of the choir. Enjoy!

Habanera / Carmen – Agnes Baltsa

Nessun Dorma / Turandot – Placido Domingo

(Sorry, Rich, I know you already posted it but I had to take this one. There is no tenor aria that can top it… and no singer 😍)

I always get goosebumps and teary eyes listening to this one 😍

Va Pensioro / Nabucco
