Song of the Day

song-of-the-day

There are several versions of the song I want to share today. But the one I found is just so beautiful – most of all because of the two artists who are performing together. Enjoy!

The Way We Were – Barbara Streisand and Lionel Richie

Mem’ries,
Light the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we? Could we?
Mem’ries, may be beautiful and yet
What’s too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget
So it’s the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember…
The way we were…
The way we were…

Barb S has recorded so many beautiful songs, and her duets are always special. “Tell Him” with Celine Dion is probably my favorite as it displays amazing vocal control and close harmonies. Good choice Erika! πŸ™‚
