I can’t say I’ve forgiven my family members and relatives who betrayed or my Exe– who abused me but then again they don’t live in my mind. I’ve dismissed them. To forgive them would be a lie. They are not deserving of my Forgiveness. I choose not to dwell on them or their actions. The Universe will judge them in due time. Because of the past violence there is No Contact between any of us for any reason. Nor will I ever forget what they did. Maybe if they apologized I’d consider forgiving them but since that’s not gonna happen as far as I’m concerned they no longer exist. They are meaningless. Once I made my decision I felt No Guilt and No Shame. My Life has gone on and I’ve moved forward.

This is a very important point, Deborah! In the end, it is about haven no resentments. Hanging on to what was done to us is killing our life’s energy. I think the first step is detaching from feeling guilty or dwelling in hatred. It is already a liberation. The next step would be forgiving but as you said, it needs more factors for us to make it happen. Thank you for always adding such deep life experiences, Deborah! I appreciate it very much!

Yes this sounds very good and for sure is true. Forgiveness and self-forgiveness can be very hard and needs a lot of courage and open hearts mostly from more than one side. If we start doing this step by step – it will quicken the group and finally inspire everyone.
