I don’t see any other way. If you stop fighting , growing and learning you die. Things could have been better but they weren’t. I can’t change what life was but I can change what it is and what it will be. I can use the broken pieces in ways that work to make life better for myself and the people I love.

This is the only way to move forward and evolve. Nobody can change the past but you can make a difference today in order to create a different future! That is what life is about: A process of learning and applying what we learnde! Awesome comment, Robert. That was so powerful!!!

It does feel so good when we overcome something–this may sound silly, but this past summer I overcame my fear of leaving a window open at night, as it’s so HOT in my apt. It made a huge difference, both in temperature/sleep comfort and in realizing I didn’t have to be bound by that fear. Yaaayyy! (I’ve overcome bigger, more significant things–but this was the most recent, and seemed very Big at the time 🙂 )

This doesn’t sound silly at all! I understand that fear but also that feeling of liberation once you overcame it. Like opening literally the window of a prison and breathing fresh air again. I love that and I congratulate you for that. It is enormously empowering!
