The Healer’s Award

20160722_180424My dear friend, Nicodemas of Ancient Skies created a new award for our amazing community. If there has ever been an award that touched my very soul then it is this one! You need to know that Nicodemas doesn’t participate in awards but his big heart and the wish for supporting love and healing in this world made him create this one with the most beautiful message. Nicodemas definitely got to know how precious life is when he almost lost the most important meaning in his life. When you read his poems and whatever he shares this appreciation and gratitude for life and all that makes life shine through and leave a light inside of the reader. Receiving this award (even as the first one) from a person like Nicodemas whom I appreciate a lot right because of his way of sharing so much love, positivity, and awareness is overwhelming in the most wonderful way.

Here are the words with which the founder explains his intention to create this award:
Have you ever read a post or article that really stands out as encouraging, and bringing some much needed light into our world? I’m sure we all have, but in this day of division and strife, we need more writing on healing, and hope. And so many people groups need reconciliation.

There are no rules:
Just nominate those bloggers who promote hope, healing, and reconciliation. You can use the photo above (cherry blossoms), or any image of flowers, which can be a wonderful symbol of hope and renewal!

When I was 14 and sitting in my classroom (bored from maths) my thoughts went to what would make my life meaningful. Immediately I knew it, I want to make people feel better about themselves. It filled me with a warmth that I could not explain at that time. I started right away to listen to others and trying to feel what they feel in order to understand them and still see the problem from a distant place in order to look at the situation from all sides together with them. It all got a bit lost over the years due to so much that I let happen to me but still that wish to see people smiling broke through over and over again…. until I broke through myself. Now being considered for an award that represents hope, healing, and reconciliation means more to me than I can say! Not for me but because it tells me that what I do makes sense.

I have added my favorite flower, the white rose. To me, it stands for strength, healing, compassion, comfort, innocence, love, and light. It actually represents to me the combination of power, durability, and peacefulness.

The nominee:
Our community appears as a role model for the real world. We are supporting each other, comforting each other, cheering each other up, and we are there for each other beyond blogging when we sense that someone is not well.  So please, believe me when I say that each one of you has a healing impact in exactly the way you are! I would love to open this up to everyone but that would not be as intended by the founder. In order to have this award passed on, I will nominate that person who I think is representing the idea of this award best. Please, Nicodemas, accept this nomination. Thank you very very much again from the bottom of my heart.

Let’s all be the change we wish to see in this world!

In Love and Light
