Song of the Day

Yesterday I had such a funny conversation with Graeme. He made me a huge compliment when he said that he did not expect me being THAT oldΒ πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ still laughing!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Anyway, that conversation and Hugh posting the video from the Blogger Bash yesterday (where we all had so much fun which made us feel very young) made me think of this song…. enjoy….πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

We Are Young – Fun

Give me a second I,
I need to get my story straight
My friends are in the bathroom getting higher than the Empire State
My lover, she’s waiting for me just across the bar
My seat’s been taken by some sunglasses asking ’bout a scar, and
I know I gave it to you months ago
I know you’re trying to forget
But between the drinks and subtle things
The holes in my apologies, you know
I’m trying hard to take it back
So if by the time the bar closes
And you feel like falling down
I’ll carry you home

Tonight
We are young
So let’s set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun

Tonight
We are young
So let’s set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun

Now I know that I’m not
All that you got
I guess that I, I just thought
Maybe we could find new ways to fall apart
But our friends are back
So let’s raise a toast
β€˜Cause I found someone to carry me home

Tonight
We are young
So let’s set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun

Tonight
We are young
So let’s set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun

Carry me home tonight (Nananananana)
Just carry me home tonight (Nananananana)
Carry me home tonight (Nananananana)
Just carry me home tonight (Nananananana)

The moon is on my side (Nananananana)
I have no reason to run (Nananananana)
So will someone come and carry me home tonight (Nananananana)
The angels never arrived (Nananananana)
But I can hear the choir (Nananananana)
So will someone come and carry me home (Nananananana)

Tonight
We are young
So let’s set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun

Tonight
We are young
So let’s set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun

So if by the time the bar closes
And you feel like falling down
I’ll carry you home tonight

In Love and Light

πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ you are too sweet! I really love my age. I never bothered about it but I am rather proud of what I packed into the past 46 years… lol! It was worth each wrinkle and grey hair! πŸ˜„

In my defence, Erika, it was you that capitalised the “THAT”. But I do take your point. It was inelegantly put and I can only rectify that by saying I thought you were significantly younger than you are claiming to be. And watching Hugh’s video only proved that my memory isn’t failing me.

Absolutely, Graeme… lol…. THAT is a matter of perception! I just love to be ironic and making jokes about myself. It was just funny πŸ˜„ but for sure I feel flattered. Thank you 😊

That was their best song by far. Erika we really appreciated your input on our CVs story, but we would really like your honest feedback on our new prized story, “Blue Jasmine”. We need Erika at Gastradamus, take care and stay fresh sistah
