Song of the Day – Queen Week

Last day today of our Queen week. It was awesome to dig into their legacy and a challenge to decide what NOT to post! Today I want to honor the voice of the band. The man who gave the band its personality and face. I don’t need to say much about Freddie Mercury. Just sharing some songsΒ of his and some which are describing Freddie himself.

Love Kills

Living On My Own

The Show Must Go On

These Are The Days Of Our Lives

I heard this song the first time when I saw the musical We Will Rock You…. I cried rivers and it touches my heart again and again!
I had scheduled this post already before I learned about Prince’s death. I think Freddie wouldn’t mind if I dedicated this song to Prince today! What a sad coincidence…

No One But You (Only The Good Die Young)

And the one song I guess all of you were waiting for. My absolute favorite and possibly even my favorite song of all times in general!

Bohemian Rhapsody

In Love and Light

You dug up a few of the lesser known here but countered by Bohemian Rhapsody which has to be their biggest hit, with the possible exception of We Will Rock You/ We Are the Champions. I love Show Must Go On. Can’t hear it without getting chills.

I think so too! Always try to find some which got a little forgotten but the big hits have to be posted. And Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the greatest songs ever written to me. Yes, The Show Must Go On always gets me too with the knowing what Freddie already knew while singing it so powerfully. An amazing person!!!
Glad you liked that special week, Marissa. Thank you!

Right, Sis! I just edited the post. It gave me shivers remembering that I added that memorial song for Freddie (I scheduled the post last evening before I knew about the tragic happenings)…. now it is dedicated to Prince. ☹️
