It is Friday and the Weekly Review is back! But before I start with what happened during the past 1 – 2 weeks I have to apologize. I accidentally already published my Monday post which wasn’t even done yet. I removed it again. So in case you commented on it this is the reason why I didn’t reply. The complete post will be up on the 18th. Sorry again!
The post with the most views this week was this quote:
On the same day my wonderful friend, Linda of Nutsrock, surprised me with a wonderful review of my book I’m Free by Erika Kind Once again thank you, Linda!
On Monday we all got shocked by the news that David Bowie had died. Unfortunately I was too early with my song of the day but posted two songs of his on Tuesday. It turned out that 5 bloggers appreciated a whole Bowie week… and I love to fulfill that wish! Until Sunday you will find a Bowie song daily on my blog. I try not to post the obvious ones but hits which got a little forgotten.
I want to thank Shiva from TheShivasPonder from all my heart once again for his more than humbling award post. Of course I was truly touched by what he wrote about me as the nominator. But what I thought was so special and needs to be mentioned is that Shiva put so much effort in that post for honoring the nominator but put himself at second place although he was the awarded one! I have never seen that before. This is his post The Dragon’s Loyalty Award
On December 31 2015 my 1000 WordPress buddy joined me. This definitely calls for a particular mention: Geetha B. of Geetha Balvannanathan’s Blog I am so humbled by each one of you who chooses to connect with me. I appreciate each and everyone and it is the greatest joy for me to enter the world with all its colors and sparkles every day! Thank you from my heart!

Just a thought
All of us have their backpacks to carry through life. The longer the journey the more might be in there over time. But there are people who seem to carry not only one but 3 or 4 such backpacks. And you know what? They still stand tall. They don’t just lay down and fall apart. They might need to sit down for a bit in order to stand up again. And this is what real strength is about: Standing up one more time than we fall (I borrowed that quote). One of these people is Carisa of Sometimes Silver Linings Are Blue. What this woman already went through is unbelievable. But she never gave up. I take a deep bow! Please take 5 minutes and watch the video Carisa made for her son. Both have diabetes type 1…. but that is not everything she had to experience in her life. I feel blessed that I have found a wonderful friend in this amazing woman with the big heart. Big hugs, Carisa! 💖
