Song of the Day

The last day of the year and parties all over the globe. My daughter and her boyfriend are celebrating in my home town, Vienna. They are planning to go to the Silvester-Mile which is in the city center and over crowded the later it gets. (On a side note: Dec. 31. is called Silvester in the German speaking areas, because it is the name day of Silvester.)

Vienna too received terror warnings. By now the celebrations are not cancelled. Do I worry? actually not because of the terror warnings. Those people want to use fear as a tool of oppression although there is no real thread. I am more concerned of those daft (thank you, Judy) guys who are throwing firecrackers into the crowd, throwing glass bottles, and more which can cause mass panic.

It all has to do with respect, takeing care of one another, and with peace. Let’s all try to stay peaceful today. Let’s ignore nervous or offending attitudes. Let’s stay peaceful and don’t fuel any anger or resentments. Let’s ride peacefully from 2015 into 2016.

Love, Peace, Song of the Day

Erika, a great song to close out the year with. By the way, I agree with you on the concern over the mix of fireworks, alcohol and testosterone. If you are familiar with the Darwin Awards, the most popular phrase before the unfortunate demise from a poor decision is. “Watch this.” Have a great 2016 with safe fireworks. Keith

A very good advice indeed. It looks like nothing happened in Vienna. At least I did not hear anything in the news. No message from my daughter now but that is nothing to worry about! Happy New Year, Keith! We have already arrived in 2016!!!

There were terror threats at the L.A. schools not too long ago but they weren’t real. Who would want to make fake terror threats? Who would find that amusing? In any case, good for you and your daughter not to be scared and great choice of song. I thought it might be Auld Lang Sine so glad you didn’t go for the cliche!

LOL….No I did not even think of that song, although I like it, to be honest. But I think Inlike it because it is not THE popular song for the new year over here. I heard about the threads. Sick minds which make fun of something so serious and keeping everyone busy and scared for no reason!

Yes, peace is what we al strive for. Thanks for the link to my Wacky Word Erika. I just have to say that daft is an adjective, so you can say those daft people or daft idiots rather than dafts on its own.
I wish you and your family a very Happy New Year and look forward to sharing 2016 with you here in the blogosphere! πŸ™‚
