Romantic Tuesday Christmas Poem 🎄

Christmas Reflections

My head rests on your shoulder
Your arms around my waist
Standing in front of our tree
As we do on Christmas days

I’m thinking back to our first one
We celebrated together
You looked into my eyes and said:
“This is the best Christmas ever!”

We had already come so far
Together passed the stormy sea
Hand in hand we climbed the mountain
And crossed that deep and dark valley

Like Bonnie and Clyde
Like Yoko and John
We’ve felt this closeness
Already from day one

Our hearts have been open
Right from day one
Since true love has happened
Our life’s just begun

A oneness we have never known
But yearned for painfully
Now we know t’was a memory
Of what was meant to be

“I hold your hand
And you hold mine
Now and Forever
Till the end of time”

Vows which never lose their meaning
Although spoken years ago
In fact with every passing day
They deepened in its loving flow

I look at you, you look at me
I know you think the same
Because we always feel like one
Two hearts like one huge burning flame

I look into your loving eyes
And I can hardly breathe.
I love you so much more, my wonder,
On this Christmas Eve!
