Sisters or Brothers… Who cares?

This morning I found a notification that I was nominated for The Brotherhood of the World Award. How cool is that. It is my second nomination for this blog and it really honors me. As a kid I always liked it more to play with boys (no – it is not Tuesday!) Yes, I had dolls and Barbies. But I enjoyed it a lot more to do bike races, play with cares and Legos, or building huts in the woods and such stuff. Playing with dolls was niedliches-babykaetzchen-muss-gaehnenAnyway I feel honored to be considered worthwhile for this award by Robert Goldstein. His blog is a about his art but also about his life with DID. Lots of profound insights, guys. Please take a look.

The RULES:

  • Thank and link back to the person who nominated you for the award.
  • List the Rules and Display the Brotherhood of the world Award logo to your post and/or blog.
  • Answer the questions set to you.
  • Nominate around ten bloggers.
  • Create your set of questions for your nominees.

Robert’s questions:

1. If you had the power to make one change to our world, what would you change?
I would clean everybody’s mirror in order for them to see the love they are. It doesn’t need more to change the world for the better.

2. What is your biggest obstacle to blogging? These mingy 24 hours a day has… lol

3. Do you consider yourself competitive?
I think it depends what we understand under competition. I give what I have and that is all I can. Everybody gives something individual. What you give reaches the people who need right that. What I give reaches other people who might need right that. It needs us all to complete the picture. So I say, yes, I am competitive, like everyone.

4. What do you consider the most meaningful social change to come out of the 1960’s?
I am not sure if I understand the question right. I’d say the most impacting change as a single object is the telephone. There were times you were connected by cable while talking, now we have phones but do anything else on them but talking. I guess “writing” took over and almost replaced talking. The personal contact gets lost. But therefore we can get in touch with the whole world through writing wherever we are, even with people we would have never talked without this writing option. Look at WP.

5. What song makes you think of love?
Uhmmm…. love songs in general? Any love song!  There is no specific I need to hear to think of love.

6. Who is your favorite author and why?
It is Wayne W. Dyer.  His book Your Sacred Self gave me the last necessary kick and insights to start going for a change in my life. And here I am 6 years and 4 (almost 5) books later.

7. Why do you use social media?
The reason was the social media campaign of my publisher for my book I’m Free. In order to spread some awareness, happiness, and light.

8. How has social media changed your life? Time has become a daily challenge (see #2) but my life was never more filled with good vibs. I learned so much within the past year and met people who have truly changed my life again. It was meant to be that I land here. I often said it and repeat it again: If I had to write my books only to come to WordPress and meet all you wonderful people here, then it was all worth it. I don’t want to miss it anymore!

My questions for my nominees:

I would like to take some of Robert’s questions too:

  1.  If you had the power to make one change to our world, what would you change?
  2. What is your favorite movie?
  3. What do you eat for breakfast? (Sorry, I am just curious!)
  4. When did you laugh the last time? I mean, really happy laughter. And why?
  5. What is your favorite place?
  6. What is your favorite activity?
  7. Which mythical creature would you like to have as a pet?
(I borrowed that question from Robert’s nominator.)
  8. Be spontaneous, the first that comes to your mind: What is your favorite song?

I know that there are some very busy bees under my nominees. So I don’t expect you to participate. Just know that I am happy I have the opportunity to nominate you, bros! Big hugs to all of you!
