The First Time

I am a helpless romantic and I felt like going deeper into love in a way of feeling the electricity of the first moments only a new love can give. This is the magic of love which only happens once in a relationship. I hope you like it.

The First Time

A dream of longing for the time
When we first steal a glance,
When we first touch electrified,
When first we’re holding hands.

Can’t wait until that very moment
When we look deep into our eyes,
When words don’t suffice anymore
Because the answer therein lies.

A shy embrace is getting stronger
While sensing the upcoming bliss.
The surrounding disappears and waits
For the inevitable first kiss.

The first time that I feel your lips,
A firework of heaven’s grace.
The clearest proof of tender love
Takes us away to an enchanted place.

This moment we’ll let never end
Because there’s only one.
This moment how the first time tastes
I have been yearning for so long.

In Love and Light!

Thank you, Kristina. I know that I still have much to improve but reading and writing English all day long during the past year helped a lot to make it more and more a second first language. Still have to google some words… lol I also spent a year in the States and loved English since I was a teenager.
I am glad you like the poem. More to come 😉
